Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

1.1. This policy describes how PIKASTORE s.r.o., Rybná 716/24, 110 00 Prague 1, ID No.: 19693311 (hereinafter referred to as “PIKASTORE”) processes personal data and sets out the rules for such processing. It applies in particular to visitors of the website www.pikastore.cz (hereinafter the “Website”), registered users (hereinafter the “User”), and customers of PIKASTORE who place an order on the Website (hereinafter the “Customer”).

1.2. PIKASTORE acts as the controller of personal data, which means it determines the purposes and means of processing.

2. Types of Data Processed

2.1. Data Provided by Customers – PIKASTORE processes personal data that customers provide when registering or placing an order. This data includes:

  • First and last name
  • Address and contact details (email, phone)
  • Payment details
  • Any additional information (e.g. delivery instructions)

2.2. Data Collected via Cookies – PIKASTORE uses necessary, analytical, and marketing cookies. If the customer consents to the use of cookies, we may have access to information about:

  • Visited pages
  • Viewed products
  • Behavior on the website

2.3. Automated Processing and Profiling – PIKASTORE uses automated analysis of purchasing behavior in order to personalize offers. This process does not have legal or similarly significant effects on the customer.

2.4. PIKASTORE does not process sensitive personal data (e.g. data concerning health, political opinions, etc.).

3. Legal Bases for Data Processing

3.1. We process personal data on the basis of:

  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) – in order to process an order.
  • Compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) – e.g. accounting and tax obligations.
  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) – website traffic analysis and marketing.
  • Customer consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) – for cookies, newsletters, etc.

4. Withdrawal of Consent and Unsubscribing from Marketing Communications

4.1. The customer may at any time unsubscribe from marketing communications by clicking the link in the email or by contacting PIKASTORE at info@pikastore.cz.

5. Who Has Access to the Data?

5.1. Personal data is primarily processed by PIKASTORE.

5.2. PIKASTORE may entrust the processing to third parties (so-called processors), solely for the purpose of providing services such as:

  • Shipping and delivery (e.g. Zásilkovna, Czech Post, PPL)
  • Payment services (e.g. Shopify Payments, banks)
  • Marketing and analytics (e.g. Google, Meta)

5.3. Personal data is not transferred outside the EU/EEA, except in cases where the customer uses third-party services (e.g. Google, Meta – Facebook, Instagram) or where data is processed by service providers who meet GDPR requirements (e.g. on the basis of standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission).

6. How Long Do We Store Data?

6.1. We store personal data for the period necessary to process the order. After delivery, the data is stored for 10 years in order to comply with accounting and tax obligations. Data necessary for handling complaints or legal claims may be stored for the period required to protect PIKASTORE’s legitimate interests (e.g. until the limitation period under the Civil Code expires).

6.2. Marketing and cookies – We process data for the duration of consent (i.e. until the customer withdraws consent or changes browser settings).

6.3. Marketing communications (newsletters) – The customer may unsubscribe at any time and the data will be deleted.

7. Customer Rights

7.1. Under GDPR, the customer has the right to request deletion of personal data (“right to be forgotten”) if its retention is not necessary for fulfilling contractual or legal obligations (e.g. maintaining accounting records, asserting legal claims, or protecting PIKASTORE’s legitimate interests). Requests for deletion are subject to verification of the applicant’s identity.

7.2. Complaint to the Data Protection Authority – If the customer believes that we process personal data in violation of legal regulations, they may file a complaint at www.uoou.cz.

8. Security of Personal Data

8.1. PIKASTORE implements technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, misuse, or leakage.

8.2. Personal data is accessible only to authorized persons to the necessary extent and only within the scope of their job responsibilities. PIKASTORE applies technical and organizational measures to ensure data security. The customer is obliged to protect their account login details and must not allow access to third parties.
